Planner — overview

Planner is the Foral tool for planning and tracking your team’s work on Kanban boards. Each plan is organised into columns (buckets) where you place task cards, which you can move, assign and prioritise as the work progresses.

What you can do in Planner

In Planner you work with plans, columns and tasks, always isolated per organisation. The main capabilities are:

  • Create plans and organise them into columns (buckets) that represent the stages of the work.
  • Add task cards and drag them between columns as their status changes.
  • Set priority, assignees, dates, labels and estimated hours on each task.
  • Comment on tasks and create recurring tasks that repeat automatically.
  • View the plan as Board, List, Timeline or Charts, depending on what you need.
  • Track progress with a summary panel and a daily activity chart.

How it is organised

When you open Planner, you see the current plan’s board with its columns side by side. At the top of the board you will find the task search, the label filter and the view selector. Click a card to open the task’s side panel, where you edit all the details.

The following pages explain each area in detail:

  • Board and tasks — creating plans and columns, dragging cards and filling in priority, assignees, dates, labels, hours, comments and recurrence.
  • Views and charts — viewing the plan as Board, List, Timeline and Charts, and consulting the summary panel.
