Contacts — overview

The Contacts module is your personal address book in Foral. Store everything about the people you deal with regularly — emails, phones, addresses and links — and have it available everywhere, with your data hosted in the European Union.

The Contacts page uses a three-panel layout: search and the list on the left, and the details of the selected contact on the right. That way you find anyone in seconds and see all of their information at once.

What you will learn

In this guide we show you how to get the most out of Contacts:

  • Create and organise your contacts, with several emails, phones, addresses and links per person.
  • Find contacts instantly, with incremental search that filters the list as you type.
  • Keep everything in sync with the apps you already use on your computer and phone, over CardDAV.

What it is for

Your Foral contacts are kept in one place and reachable from the browser. Each contact can include a name, nickname, organisation, title, birthday, notes and as many emails, phones, addresses and web addresses as you need.

With CardDAV sync, the same address book is available in your device’s native contacts apps (for example, the Contacts app on macOS and iOS, and Thunderbird), with nothing to copy across by hand.

In this guide

  • Manage contacts — create, edit and organise contacts, and find them with instant search.
  • Sync contacts (CardDAV) — connect your address book to the native apps on your computer and phone.
