Share and collaborate

You can show a note to anyone through a public read-only link, or invite colleagues to collaborate on it. This page explains both ways.

A public link lets anyone see the note, without having to sign in. The content is presented read-only — whoever receives the link cannot edit it.

1. Open the note and open the sharing options.
  2. Turn on public sharing. Foral generates a unique link for the note.
  3. Copy the link and send it to whoever you like.

The note is marked as shared in the list. To stop exposing it, turn public sharing off: the link stops working immediately.

Inviting collaborators

To work together with colleagues, invite them as collaborators. Unlike the public link, collaborators sign in with their own account and can be given permission to edit.

  1. In the note, open the Collaborators area.
  2. Enter your colleague’s email.
  3. Choose the role:
    • Reader — can open and read the note, but cannot change it.
    • Editor — can read and edit the content.

The collaborator will then see the note in their own Notes. To withdraw access, remove them from the list of collaborators.

Personal state on a shared note

On a shared note, actions such as pinning, archiving or setting a reminder affect only your own view. The owner and the other collaborators do not see those changes — each person organises the note their own way. The colour and the title, though, are set by the owner alone.
